Why we started
We started Builrode with a simple belief: homeowners should understand the work they are paying for and know who is responsible for delivering it. Renovation is a significant investment. The scope, cost and responsibilities should be clear before work begins.
That belief shapes how we work. We measure before we quote, explain the work and materials in an itemised quotation, and link payments to agreed project stages. If additional work is needed, we explain the cost and get your approval in writing before it starts.
One team
A renovation usually means a civil contractor, a plumber, an electrician, a carpenter and a painter. Without someone holding the middle, the homeowner ends up co-ordinating all of them. We hire and manage those trades ourselves, on our own rates and quality checks, and you deal with Builrode. If something has to be redone, it is our cost to carry, not an argument between two contractors.
What you get in writing
Before any work starts you have an itemised quotation, a start date and a handover date. Payments are tied to stages you can see on site, with the final share held back until the agreed snag list is closed. Our workmanship is covered for six months from handover. None of this is unusual on a commercial project. It is simply rare in a home.
